I read about Naaman this morning.  Elisha told him that he had to dip himself seven times in the Jordan in order to be healed.  He thought that this was a task that was beneath him and almost missed out on healing.  Instead, he chose to humble himself.  He dipped himself seven times and was healed.  I wonder how often I miss out on healing because I won’t humble myself.

The Passion of Jesus Christ
Obviously, I am in the midst of reading this wonderful little book by John Piper. In it, Piper covers fifty reasons why Jesus came to die. It would be a a helpful resource for anyone who wants to understand what Christ’s sacrifice was all about — what it accomplished, why it was necessary, etc. I am only on reason sixteen of fifty and have found much to think about.

I love to read.  Almost anything.  Not manga as I recently discovered.  This is obvious if you were to look at my other tumblr (bookworm73.tumblr.com).  Recently, I was convicted that I should not tolerate books that use my Savior’s name as a curse word.  It has been a difficult conviction to obey.  Today I was halfway through a book by Leon Uris and had to stop.  There had been very little...
